The 1st swim of the season...

It has been unreasonably hot here in Northern California and the heat is supposed to escalate in the next couple of days. The highs tomorrow and Tuesday are going to be in the mid 90's. From what I've heard, it's not the norm. But, we're Texans, so we're used to silly weather patterns and unpredictability. The climate was much the same in North Carolina. In honor of the warmer temps, we took Jackson down to the pool for our first swim of the season. We were interested in seeing his reaction to the water as a toddler. His 1st swim last summer was as a 6 month old baby. Here is some of the photo-documentation...

Ready for a dip 2008

Ready for a dip 2009. Hard to believe what a big boy we have!

Wow! Water was pretty chilly, so I hear...

Brrrrrr

I'm outta here!

Swimming in the hot tub instead. Look at that face!

Floatin'

He finds bubbles pretty fascinating. He also likes to put them in his mouth.

The excursion lasted about an hour. The pool was too cold and the hot tub too warm. Maybe we'll try again in a couple of days once the water has had more of a chance to retain some heat. Temps should be back to normal by the end of the week... 70's, which is nice, but won't be conducive to swimming! In the mean time, I need to shop for a maternity swim suit... something I am NOT looking forward to doing :0)
