Jackson and I have been a little under the weather this week, so we've been taking it easy the past few days. It's hard to sleep when you can't breath through your nose and there isn't much that can be done about that for us considering that Jackson is so young and I'm pregnant. Hopefully our heads are on their way to clearing out so that we can catch up on some rest. Here's how tired little man was during his dinner last night:

This is something that almost NEVER happens. He has never fallen asleep in his highchair before and he very rarely falls asleep some place other than his bed (besides the stroller or the carseat). The only other unusual place he has taken a nap is under the coffee table. He won't even sleep in our bed with us.

Last night I washed and sanitized all of Jackson's bottles for storage. Yes, we have finally, at almost 15 months, made the transition from the bottle. It probably could have been done sooner but I really was not looking forward to giving up my evenings of rocking him while he drank his bottle before bed. He's just not as serious about the milk when it's not in a bottle so he has no interest in being rocked while drinking from a sippy cup. I also had to give up those few minutes in the morning where he would return to bed with his bottle and snooze for a little longer so that I could grab a glass of milk and check my emails or even a few more z's myself. Here's what our mornings look like these days:

A sippy cup-o-milk on the couch with Dora on the TV. I am enjoying this time in the mornings with him as well though. I still get my milk (chocolate) and I buzz through my emails so that I can plop down next to him and just enjoy his calm and still time of the day.

I've been told I need to start introducing the sippy cup, but I can't fathom putting breast milk in anything but a bottle. Plus, he's just so good at holding his own bottle and I'm spoiled that he can feed himself! I hope you both feel better soon!

How old is Jim-Jim now? I didn't put milk into the sippy until about 3 weeks ago. Up until that point it was used for juice only. But no harm done... For us it just really wasn't a big deal, thankfully. I've heard other things from other moms though...
