A Morning at the Park...

Meet some of Jackson's terribly adorable friends! I mean seriously, you've never seen a cuter group of little ones. We love them all!

This is Jaylen. He was born the day after Jackson. They are a couple of weeks from being 14 month-olds

Anthony is almost 12 months

Megan is 8 months

Went for a nice long walk this morning with the girls to the park. Here are the highlights in photos! These were all taken with my new Nikon D40. Loving the camera but it's a little strange getting used to carrying something so big around to snap photos...

We Have FRIENDS!

California has been treating us very well thus far. Probably the most exciting thing for me as a
stay-at-home mom is that we (Jackson and I) have actually made several friends (also stay-at-home moms) with young children very close to Jackson's age. I say "actually" because while in North Carolina we didn't do much, not because I find it surprising that someone is interested in being friends with us :0)

It is a very laid-back group of gals and it seems like we're getting together every day of the week for a walk to the park, potluck lunch at someone's home and even mom's night out on occasion. It has been doing AMAZING things for my mental health, but more importantly, Jackson has playmates and opportunities to interact with other babies without the need of a daycare. We are loving it. Jackson and I would like to give a special Thank You to our new friends for welcoming us into the group so warmly.

We'll See How I Do With This...

I've finally made the switch to a blog. To those of you who have been following our online journal over on Totsites, you know how terrible I was with the updates. It really is a more difficult application to use for our purposes so we'll see how this will rate as an alternative. I hesitate to divulge my blogging intentions in fear of falling short but I'm hoping to make more regular posts (obviously) so that we can avoid playing catch-up!

So... we'll see how I do with this!
